I had a consultation and oral surgery for the removal of a molar yesterday. I could not recommend Bristol Dental Specialists enough - a five star service. Ben Cross was my dentist and he was so accommodating to my situation: I wanted to do Invisalign but during a year where I was travelling lots for work and not in Bristol regularly. They set me up with a small scanner so I could send photos remotely each week and Ben would respond within a few hours to update me on progress (whether I could move on to my next retainer or if I needed to stay on my current one for a day or two longer). Ben also helped me sort a scan out in Houston at one point! The team there were always on hand to answer any questions - really happy with the the results and the service.

As an ongoing patient of Bristol Dental Specialists since April 2021, I have much praise for the team. My complex case has been overseen by Lyndon Meehan. At each stage, I felt there was careful consideration into the best course of action. I have spoken to three of their specialists before they decided root canal treatment would be the starting point. Due to a large infection from many years of neglect, my dental health has suffered. Lyndon explained in great detail what he planned to do and reassured me as we went along. He has reviewed the progress on follow-up appointments and stalled on finishing the root canal filling until he is satisfied the infection has been managed. He also keeps my financial interests at the forefront of his approach. At no point have I been made to feel rushed into a procedure. It's a shame he is now moving on from BDS as well as Agnieszka the dental nurse who assisted him. They were a great team who made me feel comfortable during these daunting visits. I came to Bristol Dental Specialists, as a Former orthodontic patient of Darren, having found myself in dire need of help after poor dental work elsewhere led to a cracked root and over 18 months of pain, infection and misdiagnosis by my regular dentist. My first consultation was with Lyndon who identified the source of my problem and advised that the tooth was beyond saving, referring me to Adrian. Adrian has been incredible. I had nerve damage arising from the previous issue and he supported me through that, extracting the broken tooth and installing an implant. Every step of the journey I’ve felt well cared for, have been advised and made fully aware of what’s happening, received great aftercare and follow up and now we’re here. My implant journey (for the moment) complete but with full knowledge that I have a specialist in whom I have absolute confidence should the need arise for further work. The implant process itself was far more straightforward than I’d anticipated; the alternative for me had been an appliance (bridge work) but I’m really happy that I opted for the implant. It looks exactly as my tooth had, the alignment is perfect, there’s no special care required (over and above regular teeth cleaning) and I can’t understand why more folk don’t opt for this solution (I’m in my 40’s and the prospect of a removable appliance just wasn’t on my horizon. I’ve no hesitation in a solid five star review, I could go into great detail about the traumatic period that preceded my treatment but it’s been transformative, far beyond cosmetic benefit. Huge thanks to Adrian and the whole team.

However, I've had nothing but a good experience working with Adrian, he has been very straightforward, there is little hard sell, he's happy to explain things. You get a real sense that he's good at what he does, and enjoys it (!!!). The whole team are very friendly, the room has a lovely view of Berkley Square. It doesn't feel obsessed with aesthetics or overly medicalised. I'm not sure it's the cheapest option, but if you can afford it I would recommend it.

Ben, Rebecca, and the rest of the team couldn't do enough for me. The booking process was smooth and Rebecca was incredibly helpful in talking me through potential options before my appointment. On arrival a tea was waiting for me (they had checked in advance what I would like to drink) and forms were quickly filled out. During the appointment, a 3D scan of my teeth was made (no old fashioned trays of purple gunk!) which can be sent directly to the labs. Ben spoke knowledgeably about options and was upfront about costs and financing options. He avoided too much time in the scary chair and was friendly, calm, and reassuring throughout. Following the appointment the team have been communicative via email and really couldn't do more to give me a good experience.They are also liaising with my normal dentist which makes everything easier. They're a new practice but don't let that put you off, they definitely know what they're doing!
